Janitor Service

Do you know someone at a janitorial service? We're moving to larger offices and are in need of janitorial services once a week. Duties would include vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, emptying garbage cans, etc.

Please contact Dinah Mitchell-Brown at 591-7077 if your company will donate their services for one month. Donations will be listed in our newsletter and at our office.

Courtney, a recent graduate of Independence High School, will be working in our ReStore as a Summer Associate VISTA. HFHWC sends AmeriCorps and VISTA Volunteers to the Gulf Coast

This week, two members of our staff travelled to Gulfport, Mississippi as part of the AmeriCorps Build-A-Thon to help in hurricane recovery efforts. Alyssa Baumann and Suzanne Brown joined 500 other AmeriCorps and VISTA members from across the country to build 20 homes in five days. Way to go Alyssa and Suzanne!

75th Home Dedicated!

The Abudullah Family house, build in partnership with CISCO Systems was dedicated on Sunday, May 20th. Hanifa and Hamid Abdullah and their 5 children are looking forward to moving into their new home. Thanks to all the volunteers and the sponsor for making this build a success!
