The 2006 Event

Thanks to everyone for making Habitrot 2006 a huge success! A special thanks to our volunteers and committee members as well as The Nashville Striders who organized and manned the race at CoolSpringsGalleria in Franklin. We had many families and casual runners and walkers along with more serious runners.  Each pre-registered participant received a commemorative long sleeve HabiTrot T-shirt featuring a colorful, originally designed logo. Before the race, runners stretched with the Radio City Rockettes and enjoyedc the music of Christian artist Kathleen Carnali. Snowbird from WSMV/Channel 4 also made an appearence but we're glad he left the snow behind. What a wonderful event and thanks for your support of Habitat's mission in Williamson County!

The purpose of the event is to provide funds for Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County.  Habitat for Humanity builds houses with the help of the homeowner families.  Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and are financed with affordable, no interest loans.  The homeowner's monthly payments then go into a revolving fund that is used to build more houses.
